At Centralia Nazarene, we value connection and community. Our teachings are built around connecting people to each other and to God.
We are a welcoming and open church that encourages people to come and share in the love of Jesus. Come join our community and grow in your faith alongside others who have the same beliefs and values.
To become more Christlike and inspire others to do the same.
For ordinary people to have an amazing transformation in their lives by spending time with Jesus Christ.
The core values upon which all of our ministry is built are:
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God to be studied, taught, and lived consistently.
"16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16-17)
We believe prayer is an avenue of personal spiritual growth, intercession for others, and communication with God, Who hears and answers.
" 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Phil 4:6)
We desire to love others the way Jesus loves us.
" 34 'A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.'" (John 13:34-35)
We are committed to welcoming, accepting, and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone.
" 7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, to bring praise to God." (Rom 15:7)
We are committed to expressing heartfelt care through our acts of service as God leads. We consider this value compassion, but the rest of the traits listed in this verse are similar, so we do not list them individually.
"12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." (Col 3:12)
We encourage individuals to pursue a closer relationship with God.
" 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Rom 15:5-6).
